How to increase your daily output by tweaking F@H

First off, if you are using the graphical client. Stop using it.

download the no-nonsense console version:
*Windows * Linux * Max *

Place the FAH4console.exe in your Folding at Home folder (if you were using the graphical client before) or create a new folder somewhere on your HD and drop the .exe in there.

run the FAH4console.exe and fill in your Username & correct team number: 37249

then quit the FAH4console.exe

create a new service by following the guide in the posts below -->

in the "parameters" field you have to fill in

-service

now add

-advmethods -forceSSE

to that line
if you have an older AMD CPU (Tbird/DUron) use -forceasm instead of -forceSSE

this should give your daily/weekly output a boost :hello:

How to fold with DUAL/QUAD/8WAY CPU systems or HT P4

* make 1 folder for each CPU
FAH1
FAH2
FAH...

* copy FAH4console.exe and copy/create a new client.cfg in FAH1
* copy the client.cfg to the FAH2 folder
* edit your client.cfg with notepad (very important!) and change the number behind "machineid" to "2" (it can go up to 8)

Now Hit Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> scheduled tasks

Add x:\FAH1\fahconsole.exe

choose: "run when computer starts"
before clicking finish mark "go to Advanced options"

at the command prompt after x:\FAH1\fahconsole.exe add
-service -advmethods -forceSSE

disable the option "end task after running 72 hours"

then click finish.

repeat this for the 2nd client and you are set!
