Default flags can speed up your folding

yow,

on xtreme systems is an interesting threat over folding and the flags.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...threadid=24182

wen you put flag in your bat file that lead to the exe, you can speed it up.
or if you work with firedeamon you can put them under the parameters

with flags

Arguments: -advmethods -forceSSE -forceasm

Warning:
By using the -forceSSE flag, you are overriding program
safeguards that monitor the stability of SSE
instructions on your system. If you did not intend
to do this, please restart the program without
-forceSSE. If work units are not completing fully,
then please discontinue use of the flag.

Warning:
By using the -forceasm flag, you are overriding
safeguards in the program. If you did not intend to
do this, please restart the program without -forceasm.
If work units are not completing fully (and particularly
if your machine is overclocked), then please discontinue
use of the flag.

To give another example :

a P1035 (51,40 points) does 13 minutes per frame without flags on a AMD @ 2 Ghz

... with flags : 10 minutes

in fah3 - forceasm on athlonxps forces sse - it is shutting down because the forcesse flag is invalid to fah3

in fah4 - forceasm just forces 3dnow!, you have to used -forcesse to get sse out of the athlonxp

- basically - READ THE LOG!
