how long did it run without a fan? If ran for a short period at those temps then absolutely no harm is done.

it was very silent though
alu heatsink, vcore @ 1.67v

could keep it steady at a temp lower then the Duron's MAX (max is about 80-85°C)
-> good

lucky it didn't happen on the brandnew [M]Folder6

@PlayBoy: it ran almost 24h like that :grin:

OK now the good part. Before this happened, I couldn't run Prime 95 on this 2400+ at 2500 and 2.20v without it crashing or rebooting right away.

Guess what? It's now HAMMERS away Prime for hours at 2500 and 2.10v !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now this is what I call I *real burnin* and it worked. I just increased it to a 202 fsb and 2512 and it's Priming away!

€27 is didleysquat, consider yourself lucky.

Marking it as a "gift" doesn't help. I had to pay €80 tax for a XP2200+, €75 for a (dead! :'() Ti4600 and €82 for a P4 2.4B. Blah... :grum:... all were 2nd hand and sent as gift.

There's nothing they can do for you, you have to contact the customs office to dispute the tax.

I called them three times, once at 10pm, 14pm and 15pm. 3 times answering machine telling me that they're out to lunch... i'm not trying to bash Belgian customs, but i'm not really fond of them :/

I could try to get the €75 back for the dead Ti4600 (which was sent back to the US the day after), but I can't reclaim the other tax i paid. Everyone has to pay taxes on imported goods, marked as gift or not. You just have to be lucky they don't pick your package at the airport... looks like I've been unlucky last 3 times. : /
