gamer john is right tough ;) .
my friend's alfa has 200PK that's something with a rush :D.

looked at the site and my car can go from the standerd 90pk to 115pk :), still im very happy with the 90pk and the top speed off 200km/u :p.

@ witte (sorry voor het nederlands) het veranderd het regelen van het verbruik door de onboard chip te veranderen ;) .
als je aan de turbo prutst zal je alleen het geluid en klein beetje (max 5pk) veranderen bij een standaart turbo ;).

K&N air filter + better intake duct alone would provide 10% higher HP. You could feel/see the rpm picking up faster in an instant.

jmke 7th May 2008 20:12

does that work on TurboDiesels?:)

John, why not?

Resourceful: http://www.katho.be/vhti/automechani...chiptuning.htm
More torque in first place, turbo and injection adjustments.

My car could use K&N air filter, would make the 14y old Toyota engine sound out better. I all ready like it all ready, car doesn't look too great but at least the sound is somehow satisfying.

@ Sidney, what about the collector, I heard that a collector with more flow isn't necessarily better, because of pressure that has to build up. You have to search for the right combination so it seemed.

Did some tests today, I doesn't smoke and drives great :)
Turbo kicks in at 2000rpm, previous was 2200.
Now, It normaly uses 5.7l/100km, so I don't know why I did this mod :p

Will test top speed this weekend, It was already 210 km/h.
Fuel consumption has dropped a bit, I think.

what an ugly sig template;)

Collector? Do you mean exhaust 4n1 or 6n1?

If so, they certainly will, due to lower pressure. However, higher pressure aids at highend speed while low increases acceleration.

K&N is offering a lot of air filters that will fit inside the stock air box. They also offer "cool kit" which includes intake air duct. I know they carry filter for Toyota. It does require "oiling" after about 30k miles; the filter can be washed and reoiled.

It will work on diesel engines; any time you increase air intake without bad turbulence into combusion chamber you are increasing fuel/air mixture.

Most BWM has exhaust collectors. The bad; they are not made of cast iron and don't last as long.
