No, this was not with the Blades: I switched to my OCZ Platinums instead (have quite good bandwidth). I tried the Blades in the end and could get them to work at 1100+ CL8, but the system was unstable.

It really seems like this motherboard doesn't do over 230MHz BCLK that well: Gamer's 3540, Blind's 950 and my 950: all max out around 230x23.

For those who like to see bench setups:

I really, really have to give a big, no, giant thank you to Tones.be for the incredible support.

Best insulation ever: paper towel. Used it in yesterday's LN2 session and I had simply no condensation issues during the 6h benchmark session.

Finally, I was able to put a decent mounting together ... Damn, I really suck in DIY

No, ended up having the exact same BCLK limitations as Gamer and Blind: around 230BCLK. Did a quick 32M at around 226MHz BCLK, which was too little for a sub 7 minutes 32M.

not everybody is as good as you PJ

Massman's CPU seemed great at high speeds but his uncore had to be kept quite low... but he got his one for free...

Sub 7m should have been doable, but the memory was totally not tuned as I couldn't use the Blades. Also, a very rough copy-waza ... no excuse, but I don't think I'd hit the necessary 6 minutes 57 seconds.

Oh, and I ran out of LN2
