Reloaded latest ATI driver, couldn't run 3DMark2001se.... took me over two hours to figure out the reason behind...........

Guess what? Win SP2 security. To open the program I have to right click the mouse, and sign on user ID and password.

What I don't understand is that 3DMark03 runs without this procedure.

3dMark refused once to start here too.

Had to loosen the ATI settings in control panel :s.

Sorry, should be right click "Run as" ..... showing admin or current user. Try it from there.

You only need to do it a couple times; after reboot, it will be normal as usual again.

I use password in every system other than Admin. It is a better practice I always believe (old school).

If you sign on as admin or user with identical rights as admin, after reboot 3Dmark01 will open just like before. I don't know the exact reasons but I believe it was due to on-line posting to outside network that SP2 security level sees as security breech.
