A working laptop or company issued laptop ..... docking port no webcam and no card reader taking some of the funs away. Work man!! You got two batteries and shoud have finished the presentation on that 4 hours flight to LA.

they didn't say anything about the subpar LCD panel which doesn't show colors correctly and has a very bad viewing angle

but I do want somewhat correct colors and not washed out, this screen is not even close to being desktop replacement, if it's for work, 8+ hours staring onto screen, I want quality

indeed, in todays screen work heavy times, a good, big display can pay itself off really quick for the employer

You may have a bad unit?
I used Toshiba from 1992 to 1998; from 1998 to 2002 Dell and 2006 all Company issued laptop. Other than the dual scan display from the beginning, I never have problem with screen problem. I always dock the laptop at my office and undock on business travel and work at home on after hours.

Not such today; heavy work is normal. Annual budget, monthly financial, year end inventory, monthly forecast, new product launch, marketing and sales ...... all heavy work. Use the docking station!

No one wants a big heavy laptop to haul around airport. 14" is max I could tolerate. If you don't travel, you don't need laptop. Unless you are in engineering field and goes to sites often, a big laptop is unavoidable.

the display is still the last part where you should skimp, size and weight can be solved with money
