Default Steve Jobs Defends The iPhone 4

CUPERTINO, California (Reuters) – Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs on Friday defended the iPhone 4’s design, saying reception issues were a problem shared by the entire smartphone industry, naming specifically rivals Research in Motion, Samsung Electronics and HTC Corp.

At a rare, 90-minute press conference, the Apple chief maintained that there were no problems with the iPhone 4’s wraparound antenna design and said the issue was blown out of proportion.

So they are giving free 'bumpers' for what reason ? C'mon, by giving these covers for free they are practicaly admitting there was a problem. The comparisons with other phones is just rude.

ps. I tried every possible (and impossible) grip with my iPaq614c, no signal loss at all.

They are not offering the free bumpers for an unlimited time period, but only till 30th of September. They are crooks!

Nah, that's because new iPhone appear to have some sort of coating on the antenna's to prevent you from short circuiting them. Two months should be enough for people with an old iPhone4 to get the bumper and to sell al the old iPhone4's that are still left in storage

But maybe some people will not want the old Iphone 4 version that needs a bumper so there should be lots of old version stocks left.
