Default Robots Could Replace Animals in Chemical Tests

EPA and NIH will promote the development of robots to speed up chemical toxicity tests and reduce the use of animals. High-throughput screening is already used in the pharmaceutical industry and could be adapted to test the toxicity of chemicals much faster than is possible with animal testing.
