Kingston Digital has now released a new family of DataTraveler flash drives, one that promised to keep your data safe by using 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption, a XTS cipher mode, and elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) algorithms. Made in collaboration with SPYRUS, the DataTraveler 5000 drives measure 77.9 x 22 x 12.05 mm, feature a waterproof and titanium-coated stainless steel casing, a USB 2.0 interface, and have a a tamper-evident construction so you'll know if someone messed with it. This model is FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified with Level 3 pending, and is approved by the U.S. government and the Department of Defense for use in multinational data sharing environments including both classified and unclassified applications.
