Icon17 CES Madshrimps: Logitech Pushes Boundaries Further With diNovo Mini

The Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard (review pending here at Madshrimps) is a keyboard designed for the high-tech office worker who wants a snazzy keyboard. During the press unveiling event on the first official day of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Logitech pushed the boundaries further by showing off the diNovo Mini palm-sized keyboard.

From first glance, it's a portable unit very similar to the diNovo Edge, but much smaller than the regular keyboard. The product has been especially designed for users who have their PCs hooked up to their TV networks - the diNovo Mini lets users hang out on the couch and control the entertainment via Bluetooth.

"The Logitech diNovo Mini keyboard extends Logitech's tradition of developing innovative products to meet the changing times," said Denis Pavillard, V.P. of product marketing for the keyboard and desktops department. "Today, more and more people are hooking up their PCs to their TVs. The sleek, minimalist design and thoughtful function make the diNovo Mini keyboard the perfect complement to the living-room or home-theater PC."

Typing on the unit appears to be quite tricky, but we won't know more until we have it back in our labs. A couple of other things initially concern us, but we won't say anything else until we have a legitimate chance to use the device.

Logitech aims to have the product available on the market later this month for $149.99 (USD) MSRP.

We expect to have reviews published on both items soon.
