Berlin, Germany – August 30, 2007 – Accedo Broadband and DivX, Inc. today announced that Accedo’s diverse selection of TV gaming services will be integrated into the DivX Connected platform. Demonstrating the flexibility and robustness of the DivX Connected solution, users will not only be able to access their high quality video or music content but can also play FunspotTM casino games, sudoku puzzles or enjoy their favorite board games in the comfort of the living room.
DivX Connected is a powerful, easy-to-use open platform that brings a high-quality digital media experience to the living room, allowing consumers to access media content and services from the PC and Internet through a range of consumer electronics devices. The first DivX Connected devices from consumer electronics manufacturers are expected to be available in retail outlets in the fourth quarter of 2007. The Funspot™ service is currently the largest casual gaming service for online consumer electronics and IPTV, with a large selection of arcade, puzzle and quiz games for all ages.
