Default Xigmatek Thor's Hammer CPU Cooler Tested

Xigmatek made their name with their DirectHeatpipeTouch heatsinks which we tested here and found to offer excellent price/performance/noise ratio. Today we have a monster heatsink from Xigmatek in for test, Thor's Hammer is build with one purpose in mind: strike down your CPU temps!

Xigmatek equipped the Thor with 4 large heatpipes which directly touch the CPU IHS, and on top of those 3 smaller heat pipes to increase cooling performance. Everything is high quality with a very nice looking coating on the aluminum fins and copper heat pipes.

You get two sets of rubber mounts so you can fix 2x120mm fan this bad boy; we tested it with all our reference fans, comparing the results some similar high priced products:

You need some very high performance fans to squeeze the most out of the Thor, but when you do performance is stellar, matching the Ultra-120 eXtreme in our test with the extremely loud 3200rpm Delta.

More details, installation tips in our full review!

Xigmatek is doing really great for themselves, I'm sure this will be another one of their top sellers!
