I'd like to see a review of a lian li case : pc-v300

I think this case has a very good design and will stand very well on my desk but there is not enough information about it and I'd like to know what you think about...

I on't want a comparative because I know you need space, just a review, or a little comparative with the Silverstone sg-01 evolution which is an other small case.

i would like to see a comparisson between several 120 mm fans:
all of them tested on 12, 7 and 5 volt with cfm/noise grafieken and subjectif noise opinion.
the noise and cfm have to be tested with advanced equipment as the numbers of the manufacterers are not measured on the same way.

cooler master TLF-S12 LED series 1220 rpm
Nexus Real Silent 120 mm case fan 1000 rpm
Papst 4412F/2GL 1600 rpm
Papst 4412F/2GLL 1200 rpm
Scythe S-Flex 1200 rpm
Sharkoon SilentEagle 1000 1000 rpm
Sharkoon SilentEagle 2000 2000 rpm

Why these fans: many websites claim they're (one of) the best except for the cooler master ledfan but i would like to see how far it would fall behind the non-led fans. I didn't include some toppers like noctua NF-S12-1200or even yate loon fans (which are praised to heaven on xtremesystem forums) because they are (almost) not available in belgium/netherlands and probably also not in many other european shops. That's why i want these fans to be compared to have an idea of what you really can buy with your money around the corner.

I would like to see mATX motherboards tested.

And also if possible comparing VIA, Intel and Nvidia motherboard chipsets.

The scythe quiet drive compared with other HDD cooler/dampeners.

Antec Nine Hundred

http://www.antec.com/ec/productDetails.php?ProdID=08009

or well, i might give you a user review of it when i decide to buy it myself ^^

jmke 16th December 2006 12:29

finished my tests on the Antec 900 with an Opteron/7900GT system, waiting for Core 2/8800GTX system to arrive to do some "hotter" VGA tests in the case :)

with the fans all set to LOW speed, at 50cm dBA meter registers ~3dBA over ambient measured from the front, which is not bad at all; cooling excellent with the large 200mm fan at the top, a tower cooler on your CPU will work best I think, since both rear 120mm and top fan are removing hot air from the CPU area. The 2x120mm fans in the drive cages provide fresh airflow to the GPU area, and you can optionally install a 120mm in the side panel if you really want things very cool, but it's not needed to get good cooling.

SuAside 16th December 2006 16:55

i doubt a hotter gfx will make much difference :)

but as linked in the other thread i made: http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2006...Hundred/4.html
length seems to be a bigger issue (but only if you use a drive or cage on that spot)

I removed the extra FAN holder on that drive cage, you can mount on one of the drive cages a 120mm fan , front & back of it, not really needed, no HDD is that hot, and VGA cooling can be had from the side fan:)

I'd like to see the XClio A380 case reviewed. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811103010

And maybe also the XClio Windtunnel. http://www.xclio.com/product/wind_tu...unnel_page.htm

There aren't many reviews out on either of these. From the limited reviews and ratings on Newegg, they seem to be quality cases, but I'd still like more of a professional opinion.
