jmke | 27th August 2004 14:31 | I played it over LAN, overall the gameplay is very sync, and there were only a few occasions where you notice any sort of LAG;
* impacts, on both PC when colliding you will see it fluently, however when you view the action side by side (as I did with 2 screens/2 PC's) then you will notice a small delay between inpact on PC1 vs PC2, this however does not effect gameplay in any other way afaik.
* when riding as a passenger in a car the view will not be fluent. The driver however experiences NO delays whatsoever, the passenger's view has a small "lag" view, it's between fluent & nausiating. not perfect yet, but far from bad.
it biggest plus is that the GTA MTA server can be run on ANY pc, you don't need to have GTA installed on the server machine. A small executable and one config file is all it takes :super:
and you can game on the same PC where the server is running non also :) |
