Does Windows 7 really live up to the hype? Is it a worthwhile upgrade over Vista and XP for desktop users and enthusiasts? We took the final release of Microsoft's next operating system for a prolonged spin in order to find out.

The taskbar menu is one of the menus that feels like it was designed by an engineer and not a monkey.

the problem is most of the time situated higher up, where the analysis is done, before it reaches the implementation stage; throw in a few product managers and you get a recipe for troubles and unnecessary long development stages; it's never one man/team who's responsible for implementing a feature;

once in a while the monkeys line up correctly with the engineers and a feature is implemented the way the customer requested it, it does happen :)

Fire the monkeys and let the engineers do everything?

then you end up with great products that nobody will ever know about because of lack of PR:)
