Joining Toshiba and Samsung in the 640GB club, Western Digital has started shipping its first 640GB 2.5-inch hard drive. Part of the Scorpio Blue family, the new, high-capacity drive features two 320GB platters, a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, 8MB of cache, a speed of 5400 RPM, and a 30% reduction in overall power consumption compared to its predecessor.
