VIA to launch Pentium M pin-compatible CPU WE HEAR that VIA is planning to launch a rather interesting CPU. We don’t know many details but we do know it's pin compatible with existing socket 479 platforms. In other words, it will be Pentium M compatible. Some tier one motherboard manufacturers are going to support such a CPU and at least one Taiwanese company is already working on such a design. We suspect its going to be very cool CPU - opposite from hot- and it won't consume much power. We will expect to see this little baby at VIA technology show that will take place side by side with Computex. µ http://theinquirer.net/?article=23271 |
