 |  Vantec NexStar HX 3.5" Hard Drive Enclosure Review @ Hi Tech Legion The Vantec NexStar HX designed to support the needs of both Apple and PC users. The NexStar HX supports both USB 3.0 and Firewire 800 (IEEE 1394b) interfaces. The enclosure features a vented hard aluminum casing, which acts as a heatsink for your 3.5” hard drive. An 80mm fan with an on off switch is included in the NexStar HX to cool the drive even further and prolong the life of the drive.
