 |  Uber orders 24,000 Volvo XC90s Self-driving Nvidia powered fleet Uber just ordered up to 24,00 Volvo XX90 self-driving cars for its driverless, hail ride/share - post taxi fleet. The company is expecting deliveries between 2019 and 2021 with the goal to form a massive autonomous vehicle fleet. This is the first of many similar deals in the years to come, as self-driving autonomous fleets are the future of Uber, Lyft and the like. The deal could be worth around $1,4 billion, according to the Financial Times, which obviously did some math based on the fact that the XC90 starts at $46,900.
