Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme CPU Cooler Tested

According to Tuniq, the Tower 120 Extreme is capable of keeping the CPU 5℃ cooler than its older brother does.

With a larger fin area and two more heatpipes than Tower 120, Tower 120 Extreme was expected to bring some performance improvements. We chose Core 2 QX9650 for the test, and overclocked it to 4.0GHz, with core voltage of 1.425V, and used the fan (1500RPM) included in Tower 120 Extreme for both coolers. The thermal compound we used was Arctic Silver 5.

The Everest utility indicates that Tower 120 Extreme delivers better cooling performance the previous version - it keeps the CPU 2℃ cooler than Tower 120 does.
