Steve Jobs controls Apple from beyond the grave
 

Steve Jobs allegedly spent the last year of his life coming up with four years of projects which will keep the company busy.

According to the Daily Mail, Jobs started projects for at least four generations of iDevices and Macbooks for his successor Tim Cook to put into the shops.

The Mail reports Jobs was concerned that the company he co-founded in 1976 would go under without him, so he spent a year preparing plans for four more cycles.

This was in addition to pushing through approval of the plans for Apple's new massive spaceship-like headquarters in Cupertino. In June, Jobs appeared before the Cupertino City Council to outline plans for the 3.1 million square foot circular structure. He also sorted out the iCloud cunning plan.

Jobs' successor Tim Cook on Tuesday announced Apple's fifth generation smartphone, the iPhone 4S. But it would seem that Cook is not going to be stepping from under the shadow of Jobs anytime soon. Indeed, he will be in control of Apple in name only for the first four years of his reign.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that the iPhone 4S is identical to the iPhone 4, it appears to have sold out on pre-orders.

The pre-order site in the US could not handle the number of requests and there is talk about the amount of time it will take for users to get a new phone slipping from one to two weeks.
