Sony is working on a successor to the Z1 series, and it is a Snapdragon 845 based. We expect this phone to launch at the Mobile World Congress in the last days of February 2018.

There might be four Sony flagship phones including the H8216, H8266, H8276 and H8296. Sony had multiple SKUs in the past, and this does not necessarily mean that all of them will use the same Snapdragon 845. Last Gen had a 4K phone, a mainstream and a performance phone with 720 and 1080 screen respectively. The previous generation XZ phones used the Snapdragon 835 while the XA1 mainstream series used the MediaTek Helio P20 core.
