H8266 with 4GB RAM

Sony will have at least four new phones coming in early 2018 and the H8266 version with the Snapdragon 845 just got benchmarked. It shows a big improvement over the predecessor.

In the Geekbench 4.1 test, Sony H8266, a future Xperia phone scores 2393 in single core and an impressive 8300 in the multi core performance benchmark.

Last year’s Snapdragon 835 would usually score 1900ish for the single core and between 6400 and 6700 in multi core test. None of the Android phones in 2017 could reach over 7000, at least none that we tested, and that includes the Kirin 970 and the Exynos 8895 chipsets.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro with the latest Kirin 970 10nm chipset scores around 1900 in single and 6780 in Multi test. Now the H8266 score is around 20 percent faster in the single core testing and some 18.5 percent faster in the multi core performance. This is more than we expected but since these are early scores, we should take them with a grain of salt.
