Default Sony Blu-ray Players to Offer Vudu

Washington, D.C. (March 15, 2011) -- Vudu, the Video on Demand streaming service, announced today that it will be available on all 2011 Sony 'connected' Blu-ray players.

Vudu, which is owned by Wal-Mart, is competing with Netflix, Amazon and other companies for the fledgling video streaming market. However, the company boasts of offering the most extensive library of High-Definition movies available via streaming.
