With two Wi-Fi ac-routers and one Wi-Fi USB 3.0 ac-adapter, Sitecom is presenting a full 802.11ac product range, that takes home networking to a whole new level.

Rotterdam (The Netherlands), June 2013 - Sitecom launches its new line of high-end wireless solutions featuring the latest Wi-Fi technology 802.11ac for speeds up to three times faster than the existing 802.11n technology. With the WLR-7100 Wi-Fi Router X7 AC1200 and the WLR-8100 Wi-Fi Router X8 AC1750, Sitecom offers two ac-routers supporting faster wireless speed than ever before, improved reliability and enhanced streaming performance. With the WLA-7100 Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter AC1200, users can upgrade their notebooks or desktop PCs to support the latest Wi-Fi technology. 802.11ac is a new and upcoming wireless standard designed to provide Gigabit Wi-Fi speeds, making it possible to stream more content to multiple users and devices anywhere in the home network. The fastest Wi-Fi ever
The WLR-8100 Wi-Fi Router X8 AC1750 and WLR-7100 Wi-Fi Router X7 AC1200 deliver speeds of up to 1750Mbps (N450Mbps+AC1300) and 1200Mbps (N300 + AC900) respectively. Both routers are ideal for HD video streaming, online gaming and other bandwidth-intensive tasks. The WLR-8100 with ac-speed of up to 1300 Mbps is even able to manage multiple HD streams to multiple receivers at the same time.

Simultaneous Dualband
Both ac-routers are equipped with Simultaneous Dualband-technology. The standard 2,4 GHz frequency uses wireless-N technology and is ideal for lighter applications such as online shopping, e-mailing and online banking whereas the less congested 5 GHz frequency utilizes the ac-standard to reach blazing speeds, ideal for demanding applications such as HD streaming and online gaming.

Network streaming and sharing
The X8 router comes equipped with one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port. The new generation USB 3.0 port offers up to 10 times faster transfer speed and is ideal for demanding network streaming tasks whereas the USB 2.0 port is ideal for connecting USB peripherals such as printers, scanners or webcams. The WLR-7100 Wi-Fi Router X7 AC1200 features one USB 2.0 port. Both ac-routers come equipped with a DLNA server to allow direct streaming of HD videos and music across the home network.

Comprehensive protection against online threats
Both ac-routers offer Sitecom Cloud Security, a unique security feature designed to protect all the devices in the home network against online threats while browsing. It offers real-time protection without the need to run updates. The cloud is continuously fed with the latest malware information coming from four renowned Anti-Virus providers: Bitdefender, Emisoft, IKARUS and SurfRight. Sitecom Cloud Security combines six services in one solution by offering protection against malware, phishing, exploits, malicious websites, potentially dangerous advertising and behavioral tracking.

Dualband connectivity
The WLA-7100 Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter AC1200 features the latest Dualband technology to offer a better performance and greater flexibility for the multitude of Wi-Fi devices present in the average household. The ac-adapter delivers speeds of up to 900 Mbps on the 5 GHz frequency and up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz frequency.

USB 3.0 port enabling maximum ac-throughput
With maximum transfer speed of up to 5 Gbps, the latest USB 3.0 standard is up to 10 times faster than the previous USB 2.0 version. This new connectivity standard enables the ac-adapter to realize the superfast speeds with 802.11ac can provide.

External, adjustable antenna

The ac-adapter comes with one integrated and one external antenna. The external antenna allows users to open and adjust the antenna's angle for optimum reach and Wi-Fi performance.
