Default Sitecom introduces a USB 3.0 card reader

Rotterdam (The Netherlands), June 2012 - Sitecom presents a new USB 3.0 card reader. The MD-030 USB 3.0 Card Reader 63-in-1 supports the new USB 3.0 standard which provides transfer speed of 5 Gbps, ten times faster than USB 2.0. This makes the card reader ideal for transferring large multimedia files to and from storage cards. With support for 63 different storage card types, the MD-030 is compatible with CompactFlash, Memory Stick, Multimedia Card, xD Picture Card and of course the SD (Secure Digital Memory) Card. Especially for media files saved on SD-HC cards that provide a storage capacity of up to 32 GByte or even the newest SD-XC cards with a storage capacity of up to 128 GByte, the MD-030 USB 3.0 Card Reader 63-in-1 will reduce time spent copying images, music and movie files significantly. Another advantage of the new USB 3.0 standard is the greater bandwidth compared to USB 2.0 as it lets end-users transmit and receive files at the same time.

The MD-030 USB 3.0 Card Reader 63-in-1 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.0 to ensure greatest compatibility with older devices. The polished and glossy look of the card reader makes this device an ideal companion for a stylish notebook or desktop PC. The compact size makes it perfect for mobile end-users.

The MD-030 USB 3.0 Card Reader 63-in-1 is available now and comes with the extensive 10-year Sitecom warranty.
