SiS Working on SSD Controller
 

SiS has announced that its subsidiary has developed two controllers designed for SSDs, the LVT820 and 815. SATA II standard, they can address MLC or SLC Flash NAND chips, on 8 channels for the 820 version and 4 for the 815.

One good point is that they support external DRAM memory designed to serve as cache memory during writing, something that is currently missing from entry level SSDs.
