Shuttle Puts Intel’s Latest Extreme Chip into Small Form-Factor PC

Shuttle Proclaims World’s Most Advanced PC Barebone

Shuttle Computer, a well-known maker of small form-factor PC barebones, announced its latest addition to the family of its chassis for PCs aimed at customers targeting premier performance at any price.

Shuttle’s new XPC SB95PV2 small form-factor computer barebone is powered by Intel’s i925XE chipset that sports 1066MHz processor system bus for high-performance Intel Pentium 4 processors. The system can put in PCI Express x16 graphics cards, PCI Express x1 add-in cards and up to 2GB of PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM. The chassis allow installing one 5.25” optical drive and up to three 3.5” hard disk drives to utilize Intel’s Matrix RAID capabilities. The XPC SB95PV2 also sports a number of multimedia enhancements, such as 8-channel Intel’s high-definition audio, card reader. The small form-factor PC also provides Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0 and FireWire.

In order to be able to cool down the modern processors and graphics cards Shuttle had to use its new P-series chassis equipped with a total of 5 fans, fourth generation of Shuttle’s patented ICE cooling system for central processing units and improved airflow design. The chassis changes resulted in slightly higher size and weight compared to typical barebones from Shuttle: 32.5*22*21cm (length, width, height) versus usual size of 30*20*18.5cm. The XPC95PV2 is equipped with 350W PSU.
