Semiconductor sales increase slightly
INDUSTRY THUMB TWIDDLERS SIA have announced that chip manufacturers managed to beat the post Christmas blues with a small increase in sales over December 2009.
The Semiconductor Industry Association reported that sales hit $22.5 billion in January 2010 which represented a 0.3 per cent increase from the previous month. These figures are in stark contrast from a year ago which saw both January and February post the worst set of results of the recent downturn.
