 |  The 'Second Screen' Industry Is Ready To Takeoff Nothing really new here in the way of technology since we are used to 'picture in picture' technology on our TVs for a while now. What is significant though, is the new way to put similar technology to work with today's next-gen devices. This approach is often referred to as the "second screen," the idea being that the tablet or smartphone becomes a TV companion device, allowing for added levels of interactivity— whether on social networks or dedicated second screen apps and sites that complement on-air content. http://www.hardocp.com/news/2013/07/...dy_to_takeoff/ |
