Default Sapphire HD 2600XT Crossfire Review

What the results of this review show us is interesting. Although single and twin 2600XTs can perform well in synthetic benchmarks and in games that don't have lots of Anti Aliasing and Anistropic Filtering, they really fall down in games that do employ these features. Therefore, unfortunately these cards will always remain in the budget section as even though their max frame rates tend to be relatively strong for such a cheap setup (only £140 for the pair) they fall down on the minimum frame rates.

What the HD 2600XT gives us is just another avenue for GPUs. It means you can buy one of these now, and another 6 months down the line when you need a bit more power you can purchase a second for a bit more umph. However, don't expect to play games with lots off AA and AF smoothly, as these GPUs just aren't capable enough.
