| SanDisk Starts Shipping G3 SSD Series (Read: 220 - Write 120mb/s) Announced last month, SanDisk's 2.5-inch G3 solid state drives have begun being delivered to retailers in North America and Europe, a good few months before initially planned. The C25-G3 SSDs come in 60GB and 120GB capacities, feature MLC (multi-level cell) NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, a MTBF (mean time before failure) of 2 million hours, Windows 7 TRIM support, they deliver maximum read and write speeds of 220 MB/s and 120 MB/s, respectively, and make use of the ExtremeFFS flash management system which can improve random write performance.
