RunCore 32GB Pro IV SSD Home Theater PC Upgrade Worth it?

During our visit to Hangzhou, China last month to visit RunCore for a product launch and factory tour, they gave us one of their 32GB Pro IV SSDs to take away and have some fun with once we returned home.

Since I believe ‘everyone should have an SSD in their system’, I decided I would install it into my AMD home theater PC and replace the Western Digital Green 1TB HDD with the SSD for a bit of a speed boost upgrade. HTPC Is all about storage capacity
SSD is all about speed, not storage capacity

not an ideal match; unless you plan to use a front-end PC with SSD for playing content on your screen, and have a backend file server with HDDs tucked away somewhere.

but even then that frontend PC will be quite costly; PopCorn Hour A110 costs ~€200 and rocks

I agree. For the price of that drive, they would have been much better off adding a 2tb drive in addition to the 1tb already in it, rather than replacing the 1tb with the SSD. Doesn't make sense for an HTPC.
