Real-life vs Crysis in-game - can you tell the difference?

Crysis seems set to be the best looking game ever released, can you tell the difference between game and reality?

those are some damn nice gfx, does this thing have a pc version too?

jmke 7th June 2006 13:17

yes, it will run on Vista...

Rutar 7th June 2006 13:18

they said it will run on XP/2K too and that a console version is not likely in the first place

jmke 7th June 2006 13:24

they would lose a lot of sales if they didn't support older hardware, but the game does support DX10 features, which will be Vista only

Quote:

Everything you've seen has been running on DX9 and normal hardware you can get in the shops right now. It's all normal spec and doesn't even use a dual processor or anything like that, we don't have any special graphical hardware inside these boxes. However, with DX10 and a dual core CPU, you're going to see something very special indeed. When we compare Far Cry to Crysis we're talking about two to three levels better in terms of generations, but if you compare DX 9 to DX10 it's at least a generation better, so there's a tangible difference, visually as well as from the intensity.

this game is going to punish even the most advanced computer systems. I wonder how they are going to port this to the xbox 360 and still have it look half as nice.

Rutar 7th June 2006 14:07

another thing, it will support dualcore and it WILL NOT support the AEIGIA card

you got to love these guys, always thinking for the people without lots of money

I think those screens come from the XBOX360 version ;) (the one in the link, not attachment)
