Recently I was asked why the Media Center PC hasn't received more widespread acceptance as a home component. In this article I discuss whats wrong with the Media Center PC and what it will take before the Media Center PC or HTPC gains acceptance.

If you dont need PVR... HTPC is useless; $200 gets you:

Popcorn Hour: http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/
- Passive cooled (noiseless)
- 10/100 UTP network
- HDMI output
- All popular codecs are supported
- Plays HD 720/1080p content without issue
- Plays BR/HD-DVD content
