![]() | ![]() AMD'S REAL quad-core chippery, codenamed as Altair FX, needs a new F1207+ package and board to work in full glow. It will work in the existing F1207 boards such as Asus one that is set to launch this week. But the CPU in its dual 4x8 configuration will need the Hypertransport (HT) 3.0 to make it work in its full power and this is exactly what AMD wants to use for these CPUs. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=36017
