Default Powering Down Google Reader

We have just announced on the Official Google Blog that we will soon retire Google Reader (the actual date is July 1, 2013). We know Reader has a devoted following who will be very sad to see it go. We’re sad too.

There are two simple reasons for this: usage of Google Reader has declined, and as a company we’re pouring all of our energy into fewer products. We think that kind of focus will make for a better user experience.

http://www.feedly.com/
works as plugin for your browser (FF/Chrome) has free apps for phone, sync with GOogle reader at this time and they promise to have their own backend up and running in July so that you won't notice a thing.
you can create a view which is similar to Google Reader.

I've tried them all now (posted in this thread), none are as quick and easy and up to date as Google Reader

ended up using https://www.inoreader.com which mimics Google Reader extremely closely without any "social" fluff
