![]() | Powercolor is equipping 4/5 midrange cards with 256Mb ram, the fastest being of course on the HD 2600 XT which gets GDDR4 clocked at 1100Mhz. A second version of the HD 2600 XT comes with GDDR3 clocked at 700Mhz, don't expect a huge performance difference, but let's wait and see. The HD 2600 PRO can be had in 256/512Mb configuration, why anyone would want 512Mb on a midrange card with a core to slow to process the higher resolutions AA/AF levels is anyone's guess. Also note that we're talking about GDDR2 here, at 400Mhz. The HD 2400 XT gets GDDR3 and also Dual DVI/HDMI. The slowest card will be the HD 2400 Pro which is low profile and supports DVI/VGA/TV-Out, no GDDR2 here, but plain and simple DDR2 at 400Mhz. With a bit of luck we'll see these cards in shops mid-July. Looks like the HD 2600 XT has a Zalman like cooler... no? ![]()
