Default Porn Companies Talk Next-Gen Content

Like it or not, the power of porn has a strong impact on the consumer market! Credited as the deciding factor in the battle between Betamax and VHS a looooooong time ago, porn also could have a similar influence between the current battle between Blu-ray and HD DVD.

it turned out Porn decided nothing this time around; although they opted for HD-DVD, it didn't change a thing, and it were none-porn movie studios which decided on BluRay.

The VHS vs Betamax is not comparable to HD-DVD vs Bluray... at all. At the time of the first, there was no other medium for movies at home.

but now the biggest competitor the HD-DVD and Bluray is DVD; and although BR has "won" now, they haven't even chipped away a percentage from DVD sales

I think we're still a step or two away from Blu-ray taking over the average household, but that is probably the next logical step a year or two down the road. A new DVD here costs anywhere between $15 to $20, while the same film on Blu-ray is only about $10 more... why buy the DVD when I can watch it in high-def for a few extra bucks?

Speaking of porn in high-def, has anyone around here actually seen a film in HD?
