Default Plextor readies new, 480 MB/s solid state drives for March release

According to Plextor, the 256GB M2S drive will reach the speeds mentioned above, while the 128GB and 64GB models will top 420/210 MB/s and 370/110 MB/s, respectively, when reading/writing.

The incoming SSDs have a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, 128MB of DDR3 cache memory, have TRIM support, are backed by a three-year warranty and most likely use MLC (multi-level cell) NAND Flash chips. No word on prices yet.
