Patriot pushes DDR2 Limit with introduction of PC2-10100 Modules Next-generation DDR3 memory is just about two quarters away, but suppliers of high-speed memory modules for enthusiasts have already come close to the initial DDR3 speed-bins with their DDR2 offerings. Patriot Memory, a division of PDP Systems Inc., said Wednesday it would demo the world’s first 1302MHz memory modules at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES). http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/memory/...103231249.html |
as with the 2KW PSU, this is a "mine is bigger than yours" race with little to no interest for the end user, whether your Core 2 system is running at PC2-1010 or PC2-6400 speed, the performance difference is negligible and it's not worth the asking price for the majority of people out there. |
probably costs more than an entirely new mediumrange pc ;) |
@ jmke "mine is bigger than yours" in this context = e-**** ;-) |
