Panasonic introduces 3D camcorder for consumers

Japanese electronics maker Panasonic recently introduced the “world’s first 3D consumer camcorder” that uses a 3D conversion lens to shoot video in both 2D and 3D.

It's nice to see that it uses a 3D convertor :) . I'm just wondering if there's a standard to store 3D movies. This cam stores side by side, but other formats store data on top, or using color code, or using another color coding format ...
many options, no standard :(
