Icon17 OldSkool Hardware OC Contest Brakes Records: Geforce 4 Ti 4600 under LN2

HWbot.org is organizing an old school hardware overclocking contest in January. The victim: Geforce 4 Series. A hardware enthusiast from Romania voltmodded a Geforce 4 Ti 4600 and used LN2 to cool down the GPU to achieve a new 3DMark03 world record.

Reaching a ~40% OC on this GPU is quite respectable, memory overclocked by ~20%. In combination with an Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0 motherboard and overclocked Core 2 Duo E5300 @ 3509Mhz, breaking the 2900 3DMark03 barrier.

Our very own forum member Gamer scored 1724 back in February 2003. For this contest at HWbot 3 Belgians taken part, the highest score at this point from C3Tuning, 2363.
