We've all seen the images and videos from the GeForce 6800 launch, where Far Cry was shown off with some fancy new effects. Well, one of those effects was offset mapping, and the good news is that it is available in the current version of Far Cry! The bad news is that it isn't implemented into current levels - However, thedudemanguy has created a level using Crytek's Sandbox editor that shows off a few basic examples of how offset mapping looks. All it requires is a 2.0 shader compliant card (i.e. Radeon 9500 or above, or GeForceFX 5200 or above).
