OCZ SSD Plans for Q1 2010 Detailed: Vertex 2, Vertex 2 Pro EX and more
 

For the enterprise segment OCZ is readying two new drive families, the Vertex 2 Pro EX and Vertex 2 Pro, both of which make use of SandForce's SF-1500 controller, feature SATA 3.0 Gbps interfaces, and will debut in March 2010.

The Vertex 2 Pro EX packs SLC (single-level cell) NAND Flash memory, includes a back-up battery, will be available in 50GB, 100GB and 200GB capacities, and deliver read and write speeds of up to 280 MB/s and 270 MB/s, respectively. The non-EX models have MLC NAND, go up to 400GB, and are expected to have the same transfer speeds as its bigger brothers.
