| OCZ extends warranty of Summit and Vertex SSD series There have been some concern surrounding the lifespan of Solid State Drives. NAND flash memory circuits have a limited amount of writes and even if they can handle many thousands and thousands of writes and clever algorithms spread the data across the SSD memory cells people have been questioning the warranty times of SSDs. One of the most active actors, OCZ, have shown a serious dedication and prolonged the warranty from 2 to 3 years with both the Vertex and Summit families. The improved warranty will cover all new and already sold drives within the families and OCZ says that it has simply realized that the drives have a considerably longer lifespan than previously estimated. http://www.nordichardware.com/news,9542.html
