Nvidia nForce 430 and Geforce 6150 Graphics Performance Revealed
Just one week ago Nvidia lifted the embargo on their new line of AMD integrated chipsets which marks their first such product since the nForce 2 IGP. During their absence ATI has cleaned up on the IGP market for AMD desktops and laptops as you can clearly see when you look at retail products in a store near you. Now Nvidia is poised to challenge ATI with not one chip, but 4 different products. The nForce 430 and 410, and the GeForce 6100 and 6150 are aimed at the budget to HTPC market. Today we are primarily concerned about the graphics performance of the 430 as the merits of the other components are previously known. The 430 enjoys a 50MHz clock advantage at 475MHz, and also supports TV encoding, DVI, HD playback, and high quality video scaling that the 410 lacks.
