| NVIDIA Geforce GTS 240 will get higher clockspeeds than 9800 GT The 9800 GT runs at 600MHz with 1500MHz shaders and 900MHz GDDR3 memory by default. When the card is reborn as the GeForce GTS 240, Expreview says it will have a 675MHz GPU speed, 1688MHz shader speed, and 1100MHz memory speed. We've seen those specs before—those are the defaults for Nvidia's pricier GeForce 9800 GTX. The 9800 GT has fewer stream processors (112 instead of 128), however, and Expreview's piece suggests the GTS 240 might retain that trait. Either that, or the GTS 240 will simply be a re-badged 9800 GTX. Who knows. http://techreport.com/discussions.x/16427
