Default NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB Benchmarked

I started a term when the 9800 GTX was first released known as YANL: Yet Another NVIDIA Launch. Basically it's a derogatory term poking fun at a company that produces a LOT of different brands and products; some with very little separating them from a technical perspective.

Yesterday news started leaking about a new GPU from NVIDIA called the GeForce 9800 GTX+ - essentially an overclocked G92 part built on a new 55nm process technology that will sell at a LOWER price than current 9800 GTX cards on the market. Interested yet?

We did get some interesting information from it all though - the AMD Radeon HD 4850 and the NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ appear to be nearly equally matched in price and performance.

Need more data to conclude that, because 4850 is too close to 9800 GTX+ and it's cheaper

The more I see from the 4850, the more I curious I am about the 4870. I had originally written it off as another 3870. Hopefully there are some good crossfire reviews next week.

I know, but it keeps surprising me how giantesque these card can be (especially since it's direct competitor, the HD4850, is a lot smaller and that the biggest card I've ever held in my hands was an ATI R9600 PRO ).
